Still New and Growing Wiser

Still New and Growing Wiser

It’s when you think you have a handle on things that you realize, you simply forgot to open the mail. I should change my business directive to, “How to find problems when you thought you were in the clear.” Not very interesting is it. I’m sure you all have similar problem. New technology outpacing your information curve, and upgrades happening before you have the original figured out. Those kinds of things. More to my specific problem, I run three businesses. I spend so much time running around correcting problems, I don’t keep up on the more mundane things, like blogs.

My wife Pammi and I own The Coffee Spot, in the small town of Belfair, WA, serving a couple hundred customers a day some of the finest coffee around. Actually our own blend of five coffees from around the world, roasted for us by our friends at Ootopia Roasters. It’s fun and keeps me moving. Besides, I need my morning cup. My personal favorite is a hot Kona Mocha. When I’m not training, running stock, or fixing whatever broke on the last shift, replacing worn machinery or picking up trash….I sit in my mobile office, known as my pickup, writing, or rewriting my books.

The original concept of Duramen Publishing was not only to publish my work, but to assist other self-publishing authors to publish their work. A situation where we assist with the bottom line effort to get the pages to the public, for very little recompense. Now however, I need to write a manual just to keep up on what I’ve done, so I can do it again. I smile at the thought, but it is pertinent, and not a bad idea. I had an old business class that taught, ‘Find what works, and do it again.’ Maybe what I need is a video of myself, so I can see what I did. One picture is worth a thousand words, a saying coined by advertising executive, Fred R. Barnard, wasn’t wrong. We’ll see where the future leads. After all, who would have guessed we’d have an A I audio to read this for you?
